Hunter Premium Funding’s financial hardship guidelines allow our customers and business partners' direct access to our dedicated team of credit specialists. They can provide tailored support.

If you want to pay your bills but don’t have the money to do so, you may be experiencing financial hardship and require temporary financial assistance. This may be related to unemployment, unexpected illness, natural disasters or a relationship breakdown.

Financial hardship is more common than you might think. It can be difficult to reach out for help. When you do, it’s important to try to be open and as realistic as you can be about your financial position. We’ll be compassionate in trying to understand your situation and finding ways we can help. Together with you and your broker, we’ll look at:

  • how your situation has changed
  • your current financial position
  • your current funding arrangement and associated cover
  • how we may be able to help you with your loan repayments

After you first get in touch with us, you’ll hear from us within 10 business days, and we’ll start working with you to find a solution tailored to your circumstances and insurance cover and period. With the short-term nature of premium funding, it’s important you notify Hunter Premium Funding as early as possible of any financial hardship concerns so we can commence the negotiation process at an early stage.

Premium funding is a payment option that allows you to spread your insurance costs over the period of cover and Hunter Premium Funding can offer flexibility within that period.

Note: We’ll help you understand the financial implications to make sure you’re comfortable before going ahead.

A permanent change to your financial situation may mean it’s unlikely your financial position can be restored — even if your existing loan were to be changed. In that case, it may not be appropriate for us to offer changes to any payment arrangements.
